How do I fix the error: Developer id of submitted package does not match developer id of previously submitted package.

Issue

I am trying to switch to SDK mode and I am getting this error.

We switched developers and we do not have the previous devID.

I do not remember the previous devID.

Answer

You can expect to see this error if:

• You recently took over development for a channel that was previously managed by another developer.
• This is the first build you've submitted since converting from Direct Publisher to SDK.
• You did not save the original devID information.

If you do not have the previous devID information, you will need to create a new one by rekeying the channel's package. Please save the new devID information for future use. Every time you have to generate a new genkey, authenticated users will be logged out and forced to log back in to view any gated content.
