Certification Testing page returns an error
Manage My Channels > Preview and Update > Certification Testing
Possible reasons why you may be seeing an error after running Certification Testing:
|Problem||How to Fix||Comments|
|The deep linking parameters saved on the Deep Linking page point to gated content that requires authentication or any kind of button press before playback begins.||Update deep linking parameters with free content only.||
If your channel offers both paid and free content, you only need to include deep linking parameters to free content.
|Your channel is incorrectly marked as free or ad-supported.||
Update and save the Monetization settings (Manage My Channels > Preview and Update > Monetization) for your channel to ensure our system isn't testing your channel as a free or AVOD channel. Then, rerun Static Analysis.
Different test cases are applied to SVOD, TVOD, and TVE/cable channels, which are not applicable to free or AVOD Channels.
|Your deep linking parameters do not function as expected and fail to launch playback.||
Using the parameters from the Deep Linking page, run our Deep Linking Tester Tool to ensure deep linking is working properly.
If the testing tool fails, there is likely an issue with your deep linking implementation.
|Your deep linking parameters are not formatted properly on the Deep Linking page.||
Ensure the contentID saved on the Deep Linking page is just the ID, not a cURL command or JSON string.
If pulling a contentID from a cURL command, only input the characters after "content=". In the below example, the contentID is 1234:
curl -d '' 'http://192.168.1.114:8060/input?contentId=1234&mediaType=movie'
