How can I monetize my channel with ads?
Publishers on Roku have the option to monetize their channel through video advertisements. By default partners enter into an Inventory Split Agreement with Roku. 30% of inventory must be sent to Roku, as such, Roku retains 100% revenue from this inventory (but under no obligation to fill it). The publisher fully controls the remaining 70% and keep 100% revenue generated through 3rd party demand sources setup.
There could be an opportunity for Roku to backfill the remaining 70% through the Roku Sales Representation Program. Roku would consider adding channels to the Roku Sales Representation Program when a threshold of 5,000 new installs and 50,000 streaming hours over the last calendar month is achieved.
