Can we restrict public access to a Roku Search 2.0 feed?
Answer: The only security Roku supports for the Roku Search 2.0 feed is a username and password authentication in the HTTP request-header.
You will need to provide Partner Success with the username/password for the purpose of search set up.
What mediaTypes are supported in Roku Search 2.0?
Answer: The following mediaTypes are supported with Roku Search integration:
- series
- season
- episode
- movie
- shortForm
*Note:
- Specific episodes are not searchable by title.
- live and special are not available for Roku Search at this time.
Does the " | " separator need to be removed from the content ID for mediaType = series??
Answer: If the URL-encode and name-value pair are correct, there shouldn't be any issues with using the "|" symbol in a series deep link.
