1099K tax form report looks inaccurate.
Please note that for the 1099K, Roku is reporting cash received (which includes sales tax), not cash paid out.
Per the 1099K rules:
“All payments made in settlement of payment card transactions (e.g., credit card); Payments in settlement of third party network transactions IF: Gross payments to a participating payee exceed $20,000; AND There are more than 200 transactions with the participating payee.”
Also please note, the 1099k form is not reported on your tax filing. The form mostly is a way the IRS tries to track money laundering and cash collected on behalf of another.
If you feel you were reported incorrectly, you can speak with your tax advisor about reporting what you feel is accurate as long as you can support the amount you report to the IRS upon audit.
If you offer annual subscriptions, please note these are paid out over a 12 month period (1/12 per month). Developers should be able to run a summary report for the year off of the Developer Dashboard transaction reporting.
