Pay-to-install
Answer
If you are offering in-channel products:
Price increase:
All existing subscribers will continue to pay the legacy pricing, which will last for the lifetime of their subscription. Only new users will be charged the new, increased pricing.
For example: User buys monthly subscription for $4.99. One month later, the subscription price increases to $7.99. Any new users that subscribe from this point on will be charged $7.99. Any user who subscribed at the $4.99/month price will continue to pay this price for the lifetime of their subscription.
Price decrease:
All users will be charged the new, lower price at the next billing cycle.
For example: User buys monthly subscription for $4.99. One month later, the subscription price decreases to $3.99. Beginning with the users' next billing cycle, all users will be charged the new, lower price of $3.99/month.
If your channel is pay-to-install:
If your channel is updated to the pay-to-install model or you change your pay-to-install pricing, this will only affect new users. If a user installed your channel when it was free (or a different price), uninstalls, and then later re-installs, they will be presented with the updated pricing model.
